Ayomide graduated last week!
Ayomide completed her Masters degree supported by a Rotary Foundation global grant scholarship. We are very lucky in our Rotary district to host 25 to 30 Rotary Scholars each year, studying for graduate courses at one of the five universities in our district. Most are funded by Rotary in their home country but in our district we do things a little differently and we provide a scholarship for someone from outside the UK to come here to study. Over the last few years we've supported an amazing group of people: Emilia from Mexico (Oxford), Sarah from South Africa (Oxford Brookes), Jelka from Serbia (Oxford), Bandana from Nepal (Brunel), Faith from Kenya (Reading), Jackie from Uganda (Reading), Ayomide from Nigeria (Reading) and Bertha from Malawi (Reading).
As Ayomide said:
"One of my highest aspirations has been to establish a career in environmental sustainability, and today, I'm thrilled that this dream is becoming a reality as I've graduated with top honors in Environmental Management. I am profoundly grateful to Rotary for playing a key role in this achievement by granting me a scholarship to study Environmental Management at the esteemed University of Reading."
