Speaker Dr Geoffrey Tabbron of Headingley Rotary Club[pictured] and Bill Swainey welcomed. Geoffrey Blackman welcomed back.

Geoffrey Tabbron described the history of the livery companies of the City of London and explained how there are 110 of them. Among the earliest are Merchant Taylors and Goldsmiths which date from the 14th century. The extent of their work now was mentioned including their support for the Arts and a huge range of charities.

John McGettrick, Alys and the Fellowship committee thanked for the Burns Supper.

New tick lists available for Thirsk Rotary Club 85th Charter Dinner on March 14th and the Sights and Sounds stall at Ripon Cathedral on March 7th from 11am -3.0pm.

Club President Keith and Secretary Russell attended the District Technology Tournament.

A Foodbank collection took place.
