Alys [pictured] spoke of her childhood in Scotland and Germany before her career in the Civil Service and subsequent move to Ripon. The impact of her 40 plus years as a girl guide leader and her contributions to the neglected children in Mexico was referred to by others. Alys travels to Mexico again on January 30th when she hopes to take vitamin supplies for Vamos - a charity of which she is a Board member.
61 people are intending to attend the Burns Evening next Tuesday. One table will include Bernard Bateman and Rowels' members. Payment accepted by Treasurer Peter on the Tuesday following the event if necessary.
