Congratulations expressed from the Club to Ray who was 90 last week. Ray presented the Club with a cheque for Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

The Britannia Inn at Elterwater in the Lake District was one of the places where David S worked as a young man before he started in the pharmaceutical wholesale business. Aspects of his work at Keighley Golf Club and as a clerk with a Leeds haulage firm were described in detail.

Louise Hannen kindly invited the Bike Ride Steering group to lunch last week. The group pictured with Maria Dawson and Louise.

A working party meet this Thursday at 9am on Rotary Way to clear weeds.

Half of the subs due from members have now been collected. Peter C would welcome payment as soon as possible.

There will be a planning meeting for the proposed M and S development on July 25th at 2 pm.

Greengage jar collection raised £468.

Marshals required for the Old Cars Rally at the Racecourse on July 30th and on August 5th on Rotary Way for St Wilfrid’s Day from 2-3.

Satellite Club, Seminar to be held at: Darrington Golf Club on August 1st at 6 for 6.30.

IW visit to the garden of Radio York's Martin Fish is on August 23rd. £6 entry includes tea and cakes.

The Garden Party at the home of David Williams is on August 28th.

The cheese and wine evening at Derek and Catherine's home is on September 22nd at 6.30-9.30.

The proposed Weekend Away is at Arnside near Grange over Sands from March 23rd- 26th.
