David Stubley was formally welcomed as a full member and David Adkin was welcomed as an associate member.

President Elect Chris (pictured with PDG Rod, President Rob and Simon) outlined RI. President Ian Riseley's theme for the new Rotary year 'Making A Difference' with aims including sustaining and increasing membership, supporting Foundation, meeting community needs and increasing public awareness of Rotary International.

The President Elect stated that his charities would be Yorkshire Air Ambulance and VAMOS! His aims include strong engagement with the local community, more opportunities for fellowship, continued support for the elderly and young people, broad engagement with community service organisations, a new environment project, contribution to the relief of suffering internationally and continuation of the Bike Ride.

Club committee plans were outlined and PDG Rod praised the Club for its success as a structured and disciplined organisation.

The result of the replanting of the Ripon Horn this week is also pictured thanks to Russell.

Club Council would meet at 11am next Tuesday.
