A switch from an A level Geography course to A level Woodwork led to Club member Andrew (pictured) taking up a career in timber. Andrew described how he started work for a Hull timber importer before setting up a business.

Thanks expressed to Barry K for organising the Test Match visit and Bill S and members who worked on planting the Rotary Way flower bed.

The annual Blind Club Lunch is held next Tuesday. Contact John M if able to provide transport home at approximately 2.30.

Also next Tuesday is the Ripon branch of Yorkshire Cancer Research visit to the Himalayan Gardens at 4.30 for 5pm. This includes a talk and tour. Cost £10. Contact Derek for further detail.

Golf Day on June 6th starts at approximately 9am and assistance required mainly after 11 am. Bill S is in charge of car parking. Tombola prizes to Barry K by next Tuesday.

A concert is to be held on June 10th at 7.30 at St John's Church Sharow in aid of church funds. Chris T is organising this. Tickets at £8 includes a glass of wine and are available from Simon.

The Club agreed to round up the £2,700 raised for Dementia Forward to £3,000.
