AG David's 70 th birthday was celebrated with a glass of wine for each member.

Joseph Fry (1728-1787) may be well known as a chocolate-maker and Quaker but David W. pointed out yesterday that he was involved in many other areas. After abandoning medicine for business pursuits, he turned his attention to type-founding, soap and chemicals among other areas.

Thanks expressed to members who took part in the collection at Sainsbury's and Daffodil Delights.

'Dorothy's War' is to be presented at St John's Church, Sharow on April 8^th at 7.30. Adults £10, Under 18 £7 and Family ticket £30 (four people - maximum two adults).

A Dinner Dance is to be held at the Spa Hotel on April 23^rd  in aid of an eye machine for Ripon Hospital. Tickets £50. Contact Treasurer Peter.

The Springtime Evening at Sunnycroft, Wath is on May 14^th from 6 to 10pm. A donation of £5 per guest to include a complimentary glass of wine or soft drink, canapés, and sweet snacks. There will be a quiz based around Wath.

A co-ordinator needed for the IW/ Rotary Car Boot Sale on May 29th.
