Honorary members Roy Freeman and Alan Roberts attended yesterday's club meeting.

Environmental matters have been a club concern since 1927 as outlined by Kneale Pearce in his talk yesterday. After early work on the Ripon housing situation the club has included support for Ripon In Bloom, the Walled Garden, extensive daffodil and crocus bulb planting, litter picking, as well as repair of areas damaged by flooding among its projects. The quality of the work was recognised by a Rotary District Environmental Award.

The Philippines Disaster Relief collection total has now reached 2,393. There will be another collection in the market square tomorrow.

David Williams is the Rotary representative on Ripon CAB from November 19th. Negotiations about a merger with neighbouring CABs are on-going and far from complete.

Volunteers are required to assist with parking at the Santa Fun Run on December 1st.

Names of possible sponsors for Golf Day welcomed.

The quality of yesterday's Spa lunch was appreciated by members.

Crocus bulb planting with the help of Cathedral Primary School pupils took place last week on Rotary Way.
