Curiosity about the landscape and the creatures living there led Colin Slator to a lifelong passion for nature which he recalled at the club meeting yesterday.
He expressed his regret that some of the natural richness he experienced then was being lost in the name of progress but he appreciated the help he had been given to make a real connection with the natural world.

Thanks were expressed to members who had acted as marshals at the St Wilfrid's Day and organisers of the BBQ and treasure hunt.

David Williams will be inducted at the Business meeting next Tuesday.

A lunchtime concert at the Cathedral on Thursday August 15th features Bexley Phoenix choir. It starts at 1.15 and admission is free.

Prizes for the 1 stall at the Car Boot Sale on August 25th will be collected by Kneale on the next two Tuesdays prior to the club meeting.

Rebecca Dodds will be speaking about RYLA on her own on September 24th.
