Harry Corps was formally welcomed into the club yesterday.
Fly-fishing anecdotes including the exploits of a Jedburgh hairdresser with a keen interest in salmon were described by Richard Turner at yesterday's club meeting. He also emphasised that women had caught the heaviest recorded salmon and salmon were quite capable of leaping up to 4 metres.
There is no club meeting next Tuesday following the Bank Holiday.
