The challenges experienced by Alex Pearman in his gap year in Uganda were described this week.
He was apprehensive at the start but adapted to various roles including teaching large class sizes in a secondary school. The value Ugandans placed on small items which seemed of little worth left a particular impression and he felt he was a more rounded person afterwards.
