Progress on the Ripon Flood Alleviation Scheme was described by Paul Scaife, project manager with the Environment Agency, this week.
Detail was given on scheme sites including landscaping with an engineering core protection element at Borrage Lane, the lowering of the existing Alma Weir, Laver Dam together with work at Fishergreen and the embankment at North Bridge.
Fifty teams will be competing in the Club Charity Golf Tournament next Monday. Em Lloyd- Davies and Mayor David Elsy will be among those attending the presentations.
The speaker next Tuesday is Tom Tindale with the subject RYLA.
