Malcolm Beer spoke at the Club meeting this week about the contribution music makes and has made to the life of Ripon Cathedral.
His talk was based on the book he wrote with Club member Howard - 'Music at Ripon Cathedral 657 -2008.'
Reference was made to many areas and personalities over the years including the change from minster to cathedral, concerts and the development of the choir school.
All proceeds from book sales benefit Ripon Cathedral Music Foundation.
Council meet next Monday for the rearranged meeting at the Unicorn at 7 p.m.
The Business meeting is next Tuesday.
