Ripon Local Studies Research Centre has a new home at the Workhouse Museum and Richard Taylor, chairman of the Ripon Museum Trust, spoke to the Club this week about the advantages.
The latter won a Sandford Award for Heritage Education in 2008.
Old photos of the Workhouse would be gratefully received by Mr Taylor.
The GSE team visit to Ripon has been postponed.
The fellowship evening on September 29th includes a visit to Hambleton Brewery at Melmerby and a meal at the George at Wath.
York Ainsty Club are holding a Charter Dinner Dance on 2nd October at Fairfield Manor, York.
