Mites which live on bees' blood are the main cause of the problem but the weather has not helped.
Chris described how the Club 'Blossom for the Bees' project could help.
Children should be encouraged to plant flowers which are attractive to bees such as lavender and wallflowers.
Plum and apple trees are excellent nectar producers.
