Welcome to Cardigan Bay Rotary Roundup,.Your monthly update from West Wales' most innovative Rotary club
Modern Meetings, Maximum Impact: Our streamlined approach continues to work brilliantly, with focused gatherings every 4 weeks and project-specific meetups as needed.
Innovation Corner: Our WhatsApp group continues to be a hub of activity, with members sharing real-time project updates and support. We're proving that modern communication tools can enhance traditional Rotary values.
Michael's Remarkable Journey: Together with members of Aberaeron a’r Cylch Rotary, we had the privilege of supporting 29-year-old Michael during the Aberaeron 5k leg of his extraordinary 100k challenge around Wales. His unwavering determination to raise funds for MENCAP, while living with Down's Syndrome, partial sight, and Cerebral Palsy, was an inspiration to our community, with Ysgol Gynradd Aberaeron pupils joining to cheer on his incredible achievement.
Cardigan Winter Fair Successful teddy bear drive: Our community has shown incredible generosity, donating well beyond our target of 50 teddies for the children's tombola. The overwhelming response has even enabled us to plan an additional fundraising event - talk about community spirit in action! Support us at the Fair on SATURDAY 9th NOVEMBER 2024.
Volunteer Power Grows, We're delighted to welcome new volunteers from both District 1150 Rotary clubs and our local community. Your enthusiasm and support puts the FUN into fundraising:)
Community Collaboration We're proud to announce our partnership with Aberaeron Round Table, providing marshalling support for their 2024 10K Charity run on November 17th. Together, we're making local events safer and more successful.
Memorial Appreciation We're touched to receive a heartfelt thank you letter from Rtn Ernie Gunner's family regarding the memorial at New Quay's Memorial Hall community garden. It's a reminder of the lasting impact our work has on families.
Extra Holiday Cheer Thanks to the amazing teddy bear donations, we're hosting another tombola at the Christmas Market on December 4th at Ysgol Bro Sion Cwilt, helping us support the vital work of the DPJ Foundation.
Supporting Rural Mental Health We're proud to support the DPJ Foundation, established in 2016, which provides crucial mental health support to our agricultural community through individual care, awareness programs, and specialized training.
Spreading Christmas Joy Our annual tradition of bringing Christmas gifts to Min y Mor residential Home in Aberaeron continues into its fifth year. Since 2019, we've been helping Santa spread joy to residents, and we're excited to continue this heartwarming tradition.
Join us in making a difference this coming holiday season! Whether you're interested in volunteering or just want to learn more, we'd love to hear from you.
