Ythan Valley Rotary (YVR)
WaterAid International Project
Each member of the Ythan Valley Rotary will be encouraged to participate in filling a WaterAid cash box with loose change. All of the cash raised will be donated to The WaterAid Project.
If all of the members manage to find loose change in the house, at a time when we are primarily being encouraged to use cashless payments, then the club alone could raise in excess of £200 very quickly, this could grow significantly if members extend this to other family members.
WaterAid aims to provide people in vulnerable communities with sustainable clean water, toilet and hygiene facilities which keeps them healthy. The vision of WaterAid is a World where everyone has the access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene by 2030. In uncertain times clean water is more important than ever. To stay safe and healthy, protect livelihoods and build a better future for people whatever our changing climate brings.
Fact - did you know 785 million people do not have access to clean water, thats 1 in 10 of the worlds population!
Please support this project by donating your loose change to WaterAid. Thank you from the YVR International Team. To arrange a drop off of your filled box ( adhering to Covid 19 regulations ) contact Audrey Cameron on 07729789466
