Kisii was the first project we built in 2010. This has five bedrooms, a living room which are all downstairs and a big meeting hall/games room upstairs. There are two additional bedrooms for any visitors to stay in.
The boys sleep on tripple bunk beds and, depending on the size of room, there are between three and nine children sleeping in each.
All the boys go to local schools who have welcomed them with open arms and all of them are now doing really well. A number of them are at secondary school while the others are enjoying primary.
Meru was built in 2014 and comprises of two bungalow buildings. Although this took up more land it was built like this because there are no other two storey buildings in the locality and the single storey blend in better. One bungalow consists of 6 bedrooms in which the boys sleep on bunk beds and the rooms take from 4 to 8 young people dependant on size.
All the boys attend a local school who was generous enough to take them, and they are all doing very well. We have one older boy in a secondary school. and in the next year there should be more who are taking their final primary exams.
