Sometimes we have speakers about whom we know very little, who when speaking to the Club are not only interesting but educate us on a subject that most of us know very little about. Last Thursday Dr Lindsay Bennett from Leeds University spoke to the club on the topic of rain .It became an educational talk on what clouds are comprised of, when they change their composition from rain drops to snow flakes and even the shape of a rain drop in a cloud. The attendance was good, the interest shown was excellent judged by the number of questions that were asked and the vote of thanks given by Ken was spot on.
Next weeks meeting will be downstairs as the upstairs is being used for a function. Consequently Ken`s speaker has been cancelled and we shall meet for a meal and fellowship.
