St John Ambulance Association dates back to 1877 coming originally from the Order of St John.
-founded in England to provide first-aid training and has now become a global volunteer emergency and first-aid organisation.
-St John's primarily taught first-aid in large railway stations and regions where manual labour was prominent such as mining.
The current day requirement for first-aid at events grows every year and in 2024, St John Ambulance attended more than 10,000 public open days/events.
This magnificently successful charity has now gone on to recruit and train 27,000 Young Responders to keep our public safe.
Thank you to Josh, Volunteer at Sutton, Surrey Branch for his visit to our club meeting.
