The Life of St George by Brian, Immediate Past President

Tue, Apr 21st 2026 at 7:30 pm - 9:15 pm

We look forward to a brilliant talk on the patron Saint of England. Brian will tell us about the dragon who terrorized the inhabitants of Cyrene.

A Historical talk: The Story of St George

St George is depicted for his bravery in slaying a dragon and saving a princess.

St George was born a Christian around 28 AD in Turkey. His life as a soldier in the Roman Army was at a time when Christians faced persecution.

St George refused to renounce his faith, was tortured and finally executed which led to Sainthood in 494 AD.
