Humanitarian: Aquabox supporting the Mynamar Earthquake. Club donation

Carshalton Park work with partner charities across the world on international and humanitarian work.

Ongoing Humanitarian support with the help of Rotary Partner Charities such as Aquabox.
Whenever a disaster strikes, whether it is natural or man-made, there is always an urgent need to provide safe drinking water where water pipes may be destroyed or the supply contaminated in the aftermath of disaster.

Aquabox was founded in the 1990s by John Griffiths OBE and member of Wirksworth Rotary Club.

The charity has now sent in excess of 125,000 aid boxes to more than 50 countries, helping hundreds of thousands of people in times of crisis.

Aquabox and their team of volunteers respond rapidly by sending its water filters and humanitarian aid.
Each family filter can deliver up to half a million litres of clean drinking water and the larger community filter is able to produce over one million litres during its working life.
This worthy charity can also offer Aqua-Aid Survival Boxes tailored to support a family group. These contain water purification filters as well as items of humanitarian aid to help with shelter building, lighting, cooking and feeding.
