This charity provides a full service of support for refugees and migrants. It aims to make a positive difference to their lives and help them to integrate into our local community.
Approximately 50 volunteers work in the organisation, mostly trained teachers and class room assistants along with a team of one-2-one mentors.
The mentors are able to support those unfamiliar with our area, culture and guide through challenging times such as medical and housing appointments.
The qualified advice staff members and assistants working with Lisa are based at Granfers Community Centre and the charity is currently funded by major grants from the National Lottery and the City Bridge Trust.
Other sources of funds come from donations of supporters who have previously benefitted from the RMNS and from other grants and other charitable trusts, like Trust for London and Lloyds Bank Foundation.
The RMNS have also been successful in obtaining smaller grants from Sutton Community Fund and Hilden Trust. https://www.rmns.org.uk/
