Seven Dales Rotary Clubs
Group Meeting of local Rotary
The picture shows President Elects with The District Governor Elect & Assistant Governor.
The seven Dales Rotary Clubs met at the Wheatley Hotel, Ben Rhydding to discuss future plans and events. The group covers Skipton, Otley, Ilkley and Settle.
Andrew Bateman from Halifax Calder, the incoming District Governor for the Yorkshire and North Lincs region gave an update on world developments and membership.
Brian Stott, the group’s Assistant Governor organise the event, plans are now to develop stronger links together, improve communication and create a diary of events in the area.
Events include a Technology Schools Tournament, Young Chef, Dragon Boat Race, Youth Speaks Competition, Summer lunch for the lonely, Christmas lunch for the lonely, Santa run, Merry-go-round, Settle saunter & Garden Party. Holly Ball & Business Quiz, Cycle & equipment collection, Brass Band concerts plus disaster and charity collections.
