District Governor Visit
The District Govenor visited both Ilkley Rotary Clubs
Manoj Joshi the District Governor visited both Ilkley clubs presenting good wishes for a successful year and special Rotary Scarves to both Presidents Glynne Edwards and Marilyn Ginns.
Manoj a Member of Bradford Rotary Club - said “It is my pleasure to welcome you to share in my theme of fun, food and fellowship as Rotary District 1040 Governor 2019 -2020 for the Yorkshire, Humberside and North Lincolnshire region, comprising of 102 clubs and 3,000 Rotarians.
He was a teenage Rotary member (Interacter) in Jinja, Uganda where he was born and joined Rotary Bradford in 1983. He’s been involved with Rotary for over 50 years. Rotary International President Mark Daniel said “I encourage you to share our theme Rotary Connects the World widely with your fellow club members and throughout your districts to help create enthusiasm and excitement for the year ahead …
It is only by working together that we can truly accomplish great things”.
