Father Philip Gray, Honorary Member Of The Rotary Club of Ilkley was the Speaker. T
he contents of his excellent article helped his fellow members reflect on the year to come and help provide an even better service above self to our communities here & abroad. A recording of Rossini’s William Tell overture was played, which reminded members that such pieces provide an overall picture of that particular type of music and what is happening inside the mind of the composer.
New year resolutions are in a way an overture for the year: are we going to keep the initial promises or not!
