Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust has launched an appeal to extend Charley Wood at a cost of £350,000.
Bradgate Rotary was one of the first donors, giving £150 with the message: "We are thrilled to be able to support this appeal to help expand land for nature close to us here in Charnwood."
