We have received some feedback from Chris at the St George's Dementia Cafe in relation to how they used the cash award grant the Club awarded them in June. Below is the social media content and photos we received.
"In June, we gave one of our Community Cash Awards to the Dementia Cafe at St George's Church - Stalybridge. They used the small grant to take their guests to The Potter's Hand in Ashton-under-Lyne. The group enjoyed brunch followed by pottery painting. Afterwards they had cake and a brew to finish off. The group said "they had a ball!" The pots were collected last week and presented by Mark Llewellyn DL, High Sheriff of Greater Manchester who was visiting the St George's Church Dementia Cafe group later that day. Sounds like the guests and organisers had a wheel good time!" (photos supplied by the group)
Mark Llewellyn mentioned to me that the group where "very very pleased" to have been chosen to a charity beneficiary of the Beer Festival and so grateful for Rotary's support.
