Emergency and Critical Care Appeal

       The New Building - Extras

The club is raising funds to buy and donate useful items directly, rather than simply giving cash. Rotary clubs typically select and donate items approved by the main appeal team. These are items not provided by the NHS but are essential for visitors, staff and monitoring. Our main item is a mobile ventilator.

These are a few examples of items that the new A&E and Critical care needs when it opens in the middle of 2027. The current Dorset County Hospital was opened by Queen Elizabeth II on May 8, 1998. The planned capacity of the A&E was 22,000 a year – it now must cope with over 50,000 a year. The new unit opens in 2027.
