The Quiz the club ran on the 14th of February went very well with the rounds including some TV programmes quizzes. We provided the food as a full buffet served on a platter to each table. The purpose was to raise funds for our continued support of water provision to villages high in the mountains for Nepal. Ian gave a brief talk during the meal break, and he ran a continuous TV display of pictures that he and other club members had taken during their visit late last year.
The raffle, supported by the Duchy of Cornwall with a hamper as well as other items was drawn at the end and the winners won a half box of wine (six bottles – one per team member) and the winner of the wooden spoon.
In all we raised just over £900 – a good amount for an evening quiz. So, we thank everyone who attended, as well as the Duchy of Cornwall, the Poet Laureate, and kim@kwpersonaltraining.co.uk.
