Supporting Needy Causes in 2023 & 2024

Sadly we have decided that the Club will close at the end of 2024, after 14 years of active service to the community. This is due to advancing years and our failure to attract new members despite appeals.

Eccleshall in Staffordshire

Due to the tremendous support we have had from our local community fundraising efforts we have been able to support many needy causes, including now finalising three substantial grants to the following local organisations:

a.     Springfields First School, Yarnfield for Ipads
b.      Cold Meece Action Group - Defibrillator at Cold Meece
c.       Bishop Lonsdale school – Books for the school library

We are also in the process of donating our remaining funds to seven orgnisations, including £750 to Eccleshall First Responders to contruibute towards their ongoing costs.

Just a year ago we were proud to conclude funding for Katherine House Hospice for the purchase of a Hivat Deep Oscillation machine for the Lymphedema service costing almost four thousand pounds, (including a grant from The Rotary Foundation charity.)
