The cost of approximately £3,800 is being met by Eccleshall Rotary including a grant from Rotary Foundation charity of £1,250

The Club contribution is made possible from generous donations received, including at Santa & Sleigh collections

The Deep Oscillation machine (Hivamat) has been purchased by the well-known local charity Katharine House Hospice for use in its Lymphoedema service.  This will enhance the ability of staff to treat more patients effectively. Lymphoedema is a chronic life limiting condition that causes swelling of any part of the body and is often associated with cancer and the cancer treatments.

The Hivamat is used to improve the tissues, reducing the fibrosis to enable improved drainage from congested areas to more efficient drainage pathways. This treatment helps to support the management of lymphoedema along with specialist hosiery which can then be applied to help keep the swelling down.

This will make a huge difference to the lives of local people who have this painful and uncomfortable condition. Katharine House Hospice currently have over 500 people on our caseload for lymphoedema and this service is very much in demand, locally as they are the only local provider.
