DEPLOYMENT REPORT TURKEY from Disaster Aid International
On 6 February 2023, two devastating earthquakes, measuring 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude on the Richter Scale, struck Pazarcık and Elbistan in Kahramanmaraş, Türkiye.
On 18th February 2023 we held a collection outside Eccleshall Co-op Store in aid of the Turkey & Syria Earthquake appeal. From the donations received at the Eccleshall Co-op Store, several more received since, Gift Aid from HMRC and a top up by Eccleshall Rotary of £120 to bring the total to £1,000.
This was forwarded promptly to Disaster Aid International to help people affected by the disaster, and the attached report gives an update on the action taken by them to that end.
