This morning, a couple of our Rotary members planted purple crocus bulbs in planters around Epworth in support of Rotary’s End Polio Now campaign.
Each year, Rotary clubs across the world plant purple crocuses to raise awareness of the ongoing fight to eradicate polio — a disease which now remains in only two countries worldwide, thanks largely to the dedicated efforts of Rotarians over recent decades.
We look forward to seeing a bright display of purple blooms in early spring, symbolising hope and the progress made towards a polio-free world.
