Rotary Annual Quiz
Once again Epworth Rotary held their annual quiz
We held our annual Rotary quiz this year at The Thurlow in Epworth. We had a different format this year in that it was a BYO event. Everyone was invited to bring their own drinks and snacks. This went down very well. Teams of a maximum of 6 people. Rotarian John Lambert was our quiz master for the night and he also set the questions and created a picture quiz.
Local businesses were very generous in their donations to our raffle prizes. They included - D Gravel & Sons, The Willlows, Mowbray’s Cafe and Fountain’s Court Florist. We were also given prizes from friends of rotary and members. Our thanks to Mr I Hogg who provided us with two very nice gift vouchers.
We raised in excess of £350 in support of Rotary Charities - our thanks to all who attended and hope to see you next time!

We are very active in our local community. We support the Festival of the Plough by running an enormous tombola. We raised over £500 for the Festival of the Plough to use for local events including our own the Rotary Tea Party for the Elderly.

We believe that the world is on the brink of seeing "the very last case of polio". Rotary International has been focusing on eradicating the desease for the past 30 years. This year the Purple4Polio campaign is using 'Jam' to raise awareness & funds too.

This annual event, now in its 13th year, is organised by Rotary Clubs of South Yorkshire and raises money for both local and international charities.
