College students create colourful walls
We were delighted to help John Leggott College pupils create colourful walls for Scunthorpe General Hospital.
Never able to ignore a request for help, Epworth & Isle of Axholme Rotary was delighted to be able to support both John Leggott students and users of Scunthorpe General Hospital by funding the purchase of materials to decorate waiting and treatment areas. The students' murals have transformed once plain walls into brighter,more welcoming spaces which makes the day just just a little brighter for patients, families and staff. Members of the Club were thrilled to be able to meet the students and see the work they had done over a number of sessions to make areas of the hospital more vibrant and colourful.
Epworth & Isle of Axholme Rotary has worked for the last 21 years to raise funds and support local individuals and groups and hold events to help the local Community. We have many more projects that we would like to work on, but need more volunteers to help us complete them. We welcome anyone who would like to get involved and give a little back to the community.

The Epworth and Isle of Axholme annual quiz night at the Thurlow in Epworth was again a thumping success.

We are very active in our local community. We support the Festival of the Plough by running an enormous tombola. We raised over £500 for the Festival of the Plough to use for local events including our own the Rotary Tea Party for the Elderly.

We believe that the world is on the brink of seeing "the very last case of polio". Rotary International has been focusing on eradicating the desease for the past 30 years. This year the Purple4Polio campaign is using 'Jam' to raise awareness & funds too.

This annual event, now in its 13th year, is organised by Rotary Clubs of South Yorkshire and raises money for both local and international charities.
