The West Lancashire branch of the franchise 'Home Instead' have agreed to deliver some Dementia Awareness training for Rotarians in our Club, their friends and family
Some of us attended similar sessions some years ago and found it extremely useful and informative hence the decision to offer some more sessions to members
The sessions are offered to us free and will take place at the newly renovated offices of Home Instead at 34 Heskin Lane, Ormskirk, L39 1LR
The first session will take place on Wednesday 27th November at 7pm and there are 10 places up for 'grabs'. It will be an interactive event and the main learning benefit for attendees will be to have a better understanding of how people with dementia see the world. The trainer wants to dispell any myths that exist and help people to appreciate that, even though an individual may have dementia, they can still have a fantastic quality of life with understanding and support from everyone in the community. The session with run for about 90 minutes
Please let me know if you would like to attend as soon as possible. If you have any questions just drop me a line
