Around 30 Rotarians, Family and friends enjoyed an afternoon treasure hunt organised by club members Ian Petty and Tracy Trelore. After registering in the beer garden at the Rose and Crown teams of two were dispatched with a set of directions and questions to wander around the main streets, side streets and ginnels of Ulverston.
One lesson to be learned from this fun afternoon out was that sometimes you have to look down to find the answers and not always up!! It is safe to say that everyone found out things regarding the history of Ulverston we never knew - including the house numbered 38 & a 1/2.
After a couple of hours of wandering around all groups met back at the beer garden of the Rose and Crown for well deserved refrshments and light snacks. There then followed a raffle and scoring exercise for all the participants resulting in a winner being crowned - congratulation to Rob Rollins from the Furness Club who won a meal voucher for the Thai restaurant in Ulverston.
