Gillian Grisedale - St. Mark's Church

Thu, Feb 25th 2016 at 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

"Ordinary people doing extraordinary things" is one of our mottos.

Tonight we met Gill Grizedale who certainly qualifies.

She runs the St Mark's Outreach programme working in the most deprived parish in Cumbria. She has enabled so many groups & activities to be set up for the local community from young children to the elderly that she has been descibed by someone who benefitted as "A big pebble in a small pond".

The ripple effect has changed lives & continues to do so - unfortunately the funding will soon run out.

Is there a benefactor out there somewhere?

We in Rotary aspire to make this sort of impact.

Stewards for the evening should be at the venue NO later than 6:30pm and should find a replacement to act for them if they are unable to attend. If a meeting is cancelled this list stays as it is - it does NOT move forward by a week.
