This week's speaker was Mr Geoffrey Roe from the Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre, better known as Conishead Priory.
He spoke about how the Priory, which is on the Coast Road just outside Ulverston, came to be the International Centre for Modern Buddhism & Kadampa Temple for World Peace.
His interesting presentation covered the history of Modern Buddhism & the role of the centre itself.
The site offers a cafe and shop and there are guided tours and open days at weekends.
