District 1190 RotaKids Conference 2013
Representatives from the RotaKids Club of Austin Friars St Monica's School attended an all day conference held at Lancaster University. They took part in several workshops from first aid to drumming. A great day for all.
Representatives of the Austin Friars St. Monica's school Rotakids club went to the very first worldwide Rotakids conference. Elise, Lucy and Bobby accompanied Miss Heslop to Lancaster University to find out how they can help others locally and internationally. They heard from speakers that came from all over the country to tell us about different charities. It was a really fun morning, with samba drumming, card making for the Happy House orphanage in Africa, plant pot painting, origami peace cranes and uses of a Shelter Box disaster kit. They spoke to lots of other schools and discussed ideas. The following week they told the other Rotakids what they had seen and done. They now have lots of new ideas for the year ahead!

more On the 10th January 2014 we presented the Charter certificate and members badges to the pupils of Brook Street Primary School RotaKids Club. DG Kevin Walsh and President Andrew Bailey made the presentations in a whole school assembly.

more The Charter of the first known Interact Club in Cumbria took place on Fri 7th Feb 2014 at Caldew School, Dalston, Carlisle. DG Kevin Walsh presents the Charter certificate and regalia to Mikaela Dawson the Founder President of the Interact Club.
AFSM RotaKids Club and END Polio Now
more Austin Friars St Monica's School RotaKids Club organised a coffee afternoon fundraising event on 4th Dec 2013. They successfully raised £535 for END Polio Now and had loads of fun at the same time. A fantastic result.
RotaKids Club of Petteril Bank Community School
more Our First RotaKids Club was launched at Petteril Bank Community School on 28th January 2013. The Club has 11 members and their inaugrual President is Kyle.
RotaKids Club of Austin Friars St. Monica's School
more The RotaKids Club of Austin Friars St. Monica's School met for the first time on 27th March 2013. Voting in their President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. After the Easter School Holidays they'll receive their official Charter Certificate.
Young Photographer 2012
more Petteril Bank Community School took part in a Rotary Photographry competition. The theme was 'our school'. Entries included photos of friends, buildings, a tree, the playground and classrooms. Winners received a J. Balchin voucher to spend on 'treats'.
