Recognition of outstanding service
Alastair Brodie, the St. Fittick Rotarian behind all our international projects, has been awarded the Rotary International Service Award.
This award is one of the highest in Rotary International and recognises an individual Rotarian for outstanding service in International and World Community Service.
Below are just some of the projects that Alastair has led over the years:
· Building a school in Nepal
· Maize for Malawi - providing food in a famine
· Save a Mum - helping HIV positive mothers in Malawi
· Sierra Leone Children's Home
· Sierra Leone Education project - providing education for the children in the home
· Sierra Leone Goats and Chicken project - providing food security for impoverished areas of Sierra Leone
· Ebola Emergency Food Project - feeding widows and orphans in Sierra Leone during the Ebola outbreak
· Sierra Leone Water borehole project - providing a clean water supply in Rotifunk, Sierra Leone.
