Medical Detection Dogs

Medical Detection Dogs trains dogs to detect the odour of human disease. It is at the forefront of the research into the fight against cancer and helping people with life-threatening diseases

Bio-Detection Dogs are trained to find the odour of diseases, such as cancer, in samples such as urine, breath and swabs

Medical Alert Assistance Dogs are trained to detect minute changes in an individual’s personal odour triggered by their disease and alert them to an impending medical event

We receive no government funding for the work we do and rely entirely on the generosity of donations from trusts and the public

"Thank you to Haddeham Rotary for choosing us as your charity of 2018/19 and for your generous donation. This will enable us to continue our work training Medical Assistance Dogs to save and change lives by alerting their owners to an impending life-threatening medical emergency

Your donation will also help us to continue our ground-breaking research investigating the potential for dogs to assist clinicians in the early detection and diagnosis of cancers and other diseases including Parkinson's, malaria and bacterial infections. We have published several scientific papers describing our work

I hope you will continue to follow us and please visit our website where you can learn more about our research programme, explore volunteering opportunities and read inspiring stories about the families you are helping

We are very grateful for your support"

Andrew Whitby-Collins
Chief Operations Officer
