Competition open to all clubs in District 1040

Our entrant - Will Pool - was awarded a Certificate of Achievement and the following positive feedback:

Congratulations to Will as a participant.

I attach a certificate for him and the comments of the judge are as follows: - Will has captured a pleasing portrait of a much-loved family dog. He has shot at the dog’s eye level which emphasises the relationship and affection.

But the resulting amount of blank sky is somewhat distracting. There is a nice catch-light in the dog’s eye. Its attire brings in some colour as do the greens and browns of the countryside. The lighting is a bit flat but the exposure is well judged. A little extra contrast would make the shot “pop” a bit more. Focussing is very good and we can see plenty of detail in the dog’s coat and muzzle.

A good effort. I hope you are able to print out and present the certificate to him.
