Club Meeting

Thu, Nov 16th 2023 at 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Our monthly social meeting at The Hallgarth Manor. Our speaker was Rotarian Norman Sellar, our District 'KidsOut' Ambassador

This week we welcomed Rotarian Norman Sellar to our meeting to update us on KidsOut. Norman is a member of the Rotary Club of Consett and he is our District KidsOut Ambassador. The first Rotary KidsOut National Day Out took place in 1990 and was organised by Kingston Rotary Club and Littlewoods. This has spread across the UK and KidsOut now partners with Rotary to take more than 25,000 disadvantaged children on the National Day Out each year and thousands more through Fun Days. The next KidsOut Days in our region will be held during a week in June 2024 when it is planned to organise a visit to Beamish Museum for up to 2500 children.
