Noody Dook

Skinny dip raises £3000

Carnegie Rotary persuaded more than 130 people to strip off for an early-morning ‘noody dook’ in the chilly waters of Scotland’s Firth of Forth.

Dookers old and young stripped off and waded in to the skirl of the pipes for some cold-water therapy after a (clothed) yoga session on the beach.

Everyone had fun, and dookers enthused about the opportunity to feel liberated and body confident. The feedback was so positive that we’re planning to hold it again in 2024.

A home-baking stall did a roaring trade, boosting the money raised from the dookers’ registration fees and sponsorships.

The club raised about £1700 for causes that it supports, while dookers’ sponsorships raised another £1400 for their own favourite charities.
