School Dinners

March 3rd 2012 Whiteley Rotary held a fund raising School Dinners event in aid of the salem Orphanage in Kisumo Kenya


On March 3rd 2012 the Rotary Club of Whiteley went back to School for School Dinners a fund raising event for the Salem Orphanage in Kisumu Kenya.

The evening started with registration and a table quiz, and after the welcome from the Head Mistress the school anthem was sung. It was loud and clear and sung by all the attendees.

 

A wonderful two course hot supper was served the menu choice was

Shepherd Pie or Bangers and Mash served with peas and carrots

Bread & Butter Pudding or Fruit Crumble served with lashings of custard.

 

Detentions were given and achievement awards were made.

The poetry competition was won by James Lambert

Sam Hard won the best boys costume and Stephenie (Steve) Mason won the best girls outfit.

 

The effort made by everyone was great and as a special treat a Punch & Judy show was presented by Paul and Beryl King and Dave Lee our thanks to them.

 

Great fun was had by all and we raised
