Kids Out 2013

Once again this year Whiteley Rotary joined with other Rotary Clubs from District 1110 to escort under privaliged Kids to Paultons Park for a massive fun day.

The Whiteley Club took children from local schools close to Whiteley. The children were picked up from the schools by Rotarians in their cars each car being fully fitted with the correct child seats and with at least two Rotarians in each car and in many cases escorted by a school carer . They were transported from the Whiteley area to Paultons Park arriving about 10am in the morning. Each child was given a t shirt and a cap along with a goody bag of sweets for the day.

Unfortunatly once again the weather was not kind but this certainly did not dampen the excitment of the Kids large and small. All the Rotarians and Kids enjoyed both the quieter areas and the scarey rides of Paultons park and the Kids especially enjoyed some of the wetter activities.

Lunchtime sandwiches, fruit and a drink were enjoyed under a tarpauline to shield from the elements. then off for another couple of hours in the afternoon to enjoy more of the parks facilities.

The day finished late afternoon with the Kids being loaded back into the cars and transported back to their respective schools tired but happy.
