more Our charity quiz will be held at Woolpit Village Hall on the 25th September at 7pm.

CHARITY CONCERT RAISES NEARLY £1600

more A charity concert in aid of Cancer Support Suffolk has raised nearly £1600. The event was compered by Mark Murphy MBE who used to have a popular programme on Radio Suffolk.

£150 GIVEN TO AFRICAN ADVENTURES

more This is to make sure that a whole school of children benefit from a Christmas lunch.

more The Rotary Club of Stowmarket Gipping Valley continues to support Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service.

SGVR Gets recognition from the Suffolk Fire & Rescue Service

more In recognition of the monies raised, which now exceed £80,000, for Smoke Alarms to protect elderly and vulnerable residents of Suffolk, this plaque is now proudly displayed in their new HQ.

HAMPERS FOR FAMILIES IN NEED

more We have collected at Tesco on Stowmarket for hampers to be given to needy families in the area. £330 was collected from the ever generous public.

THE FORGE COMMUNITY CHURCH AND THE MOSES PROJECT

more The Project provides a Moses basket full of all the items both mother and baby need for the first few weeks of the baby's life.

more The following was sent by our friends in the Forge Church. We undertook a late November 2023 Tesco’s collection in Stowmarket on behalf of Christmas Hamper deliveries to deserving people identified by the Forge. We raised £674 during the collection.

MENDLESHAM STREET FAYRE

more At the Mendlesham Street Fayre barrow of booze a hamper was raffled and the winning ticket was drawn by the May Day Queen. This raised £460. Thanks are due to resident Val Remington-Hobbs for loan of the gazebo and other support.

more The concert was held on 22nd June 2024. Raised £1300 net to the Hospice. We are very grateful to the St Edmundsbury Male Voice Choir and soloist Jess Hughes. A magnificent performance was enjoyed by all who attended.
