Trowbridge Wessex Mead were very pleased to be asked to help with marshalling at the first Trowbridge Hot Chilli Triathlon held at the Clarendon Academy on the morning of Bank Holiday Monday 5th May 2014. We were allocated the swimming section.
Six of our members had an early start, meeting at the school at 7:30am for a briefing before the event kicked off at 8am. With the adult section we had to keep count of their laps, a maximum of 4 competitors per lane and warn them when they had two laps to finish. The children were split into age groups and their laps were timed. Thank goodness every competitor had to wear coloured swimming caps or we would never have been able to keep track of them!
It was a well organised, fun morning and we look forward to supporting next years event. Congratulations to the organisers and the 200+ competitors.
